Why I switched to manual focus

I just noticed how much more engaged I feel with my shots since switching to manual focus. It’s made me slow down and really consider each frame, especially while shooting street scenes in busy areas like downtown on weekends. Has anyone else experienced that shift, and how did it help your photography?

I’ve had a similar experience with manual focus, especially when I’m out shooting street scenes. It really forces you to think about composition and light as you dial in the focus. One tip I found helpful is to pre-focus on areas where you expect action, so you can react quicker.

But it’s definitely a different game with manual focus! When I’m out shooting busy streets, I find myself thinking more about how I frame each shot and react to the movement around me. But, , I still miss the speed of autofocus sometimes.
