Why do we all shy away from manual settings

I just noticed that so many photographers stick to auto modes, even when they have nice gear. What’s the deal? I started experimenting with manual settings on my Canon last month and it totally changed my shots. Has anyone else had a breakthrough moment with manual settings?

It’s crazy how manual settings can open up a whole new world of creativity, kind of like switching from a tricycle to a mountain bike! Have you tried adjusting your ISO while shooting? It really makes a difference in low light.
