Applied at 7:20 a.m. and after uploading a clean PDF, the Workday portal still made me re-enter eight sections of my work history line by line. It’s 2025 — why are we still doing this, and has anyone found a non-sketchy shortcut that doesn’t involve bailing on the app?
I keep a.docx version for Workday; it parses better than PDF, then I hit “Save to My Profile” in Candidate Home so future apps autofill if I use the same email — still drops a date here and there like a lazy intern. Have you tried that?
Workday’s parser is still rough — retyping ‘eight sections’ at 7:20 a.m. is ridiculous. What’s helped me is keeping my work history in a few reusable snippets (macOS Text Replacement or TextBlaze) so I can drop each block in fast without any sketchy extensions. If the posting has an “Apply with LinkedIn” toggle it sometimes parses better, but not every company turns it on — do you use snippets yet?
