The best time for wildlife shots

And i’ve been pondering the best times for capturing those perfect wildlife moments. During my trip to Yellowstone last spring, I found that the early morning light not only illuminates the landscape beautifully but also the animals are more active and less skittish. I’d love to hear from others — what times do you find most effective for photographing wildlife?

, I totally get that! Early mornings can be magical for wildlife, but I’ve also had luck during the golden hour right before sunset. The light’s just as soft and sometimes animals are more visible then too. What’s your go-to camera setup for that early light?

But i agree, mornings are prime! I’ve had great luck around dusk too, especially with elk. @alexis_t92, have you noticed any specific animal behavior during those times?

I’ve found that right after a rain can be excellent, too. Animals seem to come out to play and the colors pop. @editortracker5588, do you think weather plays a big role in your photography adventures?
