Shifts in Photography Gear Trends

I’ve been noticing more photographers discussing the shift to mirrorless systems lately, especially with new releases from major brands. Just last month, I attended a workshop where almost everyone was using mirrorless cameras. It got me thinking about how quickly our tools are evolving and what it means for our craft. Anyone else feeling this shift?

I’ve noticed the same shift, especially with how much lighter and more versatile mirrorless gear is. Just last week, I had to lug my old DSLR around for a shoot, and it made me appreciate how easy it’s to make quick adjustments with mirrorless. Have you tried shooting with adaptors on your current lenses yet?

I totally agree with how much easier it’s to make quick adjustments with mirrorless. I’ve found using adaptors opens up more lens options, which is a game changer. Have you had a chance to experiment with any new lenses yet, @hweaver2218?

It’s wild how fast tech is changing; I feel like we’re living in a sci-fi movie! I’ve switched to mirrorless and love the lighter weight, but I sometimes miss the tactile feel of my old gear. Do you think it’ll ever swing back, or is this the new normal for us?
