Photobombing My Own Shot

I recently set my camera on a tripod to capture a sunset, and just as I hit the shutter, my dog decided it was the perfect time to run into frame. I ended up with a stunning landscape. and a blurry pooch in mid-leap! Anyone else had a moment where their pets stole the spotlight?

But i’ve definitely had my cat photobomb a few of my sunset shots! It might help to set your camera to burst mode next time; you could catch the perfect moment without the surprise. Have you thought about using treats to distract your pup while you snap away?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

That’s such a great moment! You might try setting your camera’s autofocus on a single point so it locks onto the sunset rather than your furry friend. Have you thought about capturing up close shots of your dog next time, though?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

It’s hilarious how pets have timing like that! I’d recommend assigning a specific focus point on your camera, so you get the sunset sharp and your pooch just a bit out of focus. Any other tricks you’ve tried for capturing those fleeting moments?
