Finding good editing software

I just noticed that a lot of photographers mention different editing tools, but what stands out for you? I’ve been trying to decide between Lightroom and Capture One, but the price differences make it tough. Any recommendations on which one is better for portrait photography?

I’ve been using Lightroom for portrait work, and I find its organization and presets really helpful, especially when dealing with a lot of images. The interface is intuitive, making it easier to tweak skin tones and lighting quickly. Have you thought about any specific features you really need in your editing process?

I’ve used both for portrait photography, and while Lightroom has great organization tools, Capture One offers more detailed control over colors and skin tones. If you’re serious about portrait work, that could be a game-changer. Have you tried any free trials yet?
